In the company if the Michelin Man, Sam and his other friends were delighted with the idea of discovering the secrets behind the Michelin Regenlab, this mysterious machine fed by waste such as yoghurt pots and even plastic bottles! And the cherry on the sundae? They were even able to experiment with it, just like the 24 Hour of Le Mans drivers and MotoGP riders have done. An experience that was far from leaving our young schoolchildren indifferent!

Michelin’s ambition is to integrate 100% recycled or biosourced material into its tires by 2050

Protecting the environment to ensure the well-being of future generations: a priority for Michelin, that comes within its “All Sustainable” strategy.  Beyond its expertise and its R&D power, Michelin is relying on innovative partnerships, in very different technological worlds, to overcome the challenge of the 100%-sustainable tire. This is the case in particular with BioButterfly for the production of butadiene biosourced from plant waste, Pyrowave for the technology that recycles waste into polystyrene, Carbios for the enzymatic plastic waste recycling process, and even Enviro for recycling carbon black from end-of-life tires.

Did you know ?

Nearly 4 billion* plastic bottles could be recycled

into Michelin tires every year.
