Guide MICHELIN Bib Gourmand - Benelux 2018 - 44 new restaurants
Today Michelin is pleased to announce the new selection for its Benelux Bib Gourmand, which rewards restaurants offering complete, high quality menus for under 37 euros. This is the tenth edition of the guide which includes the inspectors' favourites for all budgets.
Our inspectors see it on the ground: more and more restauranteurs are attracted by this award, which allows them to satisfy their customers with a combination of high quality dishes and moderate prices. They don’t just offer a single menu, but a wide choice of great value-for-money dishes. As a result, customers flock to these Bib Gourmand restaurants.
The 23 new additions in Belgium reflect the diversity of concepts now offered by restauranteurs to surprise their customers. For example Tou.Gou (Bruges) is a restaurant where you can either sit down for lunch or order a takeaway. Faraya (Wemmel) stands out with its authentic Lebanese cuisine, and offers a generous buffet at weekends. In Schnitzel (Antwerp) carefully prepared dishes are placed on small plates in the middle of the table to encourage sharing.
In the 2018 selection, 20 new restaurants have been selected in the Netherlands. Many restaurants focus on this notion of sharing – for example the delicious "gastrotapas" at Valenzia by Zarzo (Eindhoven). At Ron Gastrobar Paris (Amsterdam), Ron Blaauw takes his customers on a journey to traditional Paris with classic dishes that he gives a personal touch. From morning till night Gym & Gin (Kralingen) regales customers with a particularly creative cuisine.
In the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the K Restaurant (Huldange) has been added to the list of Bib Gourmand restaurants. In this large establishment, each room has a special atmosphere. The extensive menu - from classic to more elaborate dishes - offers plenty of choice.
The MICHELIN guide Bib Gourmand Benelux 2018 will be on sale from 23 November for €17.95 (Belgium and the Netherlands) and €17.44 (Luxembourg).
The selection includes:
- 168 restaurants in Belgium, including 23 new ones
