Michelin Challenge Bibendum 2014

The twelfth edition of the Michelin Challenge Bibendum will be held in Chengdu, China, from November 11 to 15, 2014. This year the debate will focus on "Innovation in mobility at the heart of growth and urban well-being".

For sustainable urban mobility

Michelin Challenge Bibendum

A proving ground for ideas for a better way forward

At a time when energy, the environment, safety and urban planning are posing major challenges, Michelin is encouraging research and cooperation among the main road-transport stakeholders.

Launched in 1998 to mark Michelin's centenary, the Michelin Challenge Bibendum has earned recognition as a totally new type of strategic-anticipation initiative.

A global forum for discussion and debate on tomorrow's mobility.

This is the guiding principle behind Michelin Challenge Bibendum: draw together and harness the main players in the transport sector, academics, experts, policy-makers and journalists. The goal is unchanged: to put forward and test solutions that will make mobility safety, cleaner and more connected.

Continuing the debate

In 2011, 6,000 experts, 650 journalists and 10,000 visitors attended the event in Berlin. Today, the event is an ongoing, year-round discussion that can be followed on, the platform for strategic anticipation.

The debate has spilled over into the social networks via discussion groups on LinkedIn. All these initiatives raise the event's profile and extend its reach.
