The 66th Frankfurt IAA Autoshow which took place from September 17th to 27th was a perfect opportunity for Michelin to showcase how the Company put innovation at the heart of safety and performance.
Facing any weather with MICHELIN CrossClimate
New MICHELIN CrossClimate, the first summer tire with winter certification was the star of Michelin products at IAA 2015.
Going through an experience tunnel, visitors were invited to witness how changing weather impacts their driving conditions on a typical day. Since its release, Michelin CrossClimate has been widely adopted by car manufacturers and demand exceeds sales forecast by 35 percent.
Highlighting excellence with MICHELIN Pilot Sport range
Sport driving enthusiasts also had the opportunity to discover both new MICHELIN Pilot Sport 3 and MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 tires.
MICHELIN Pilot Sport 3 is now available on MERCEDES-AMG Class S. Its Acoustic technology enables a 15 to 20 percent noise reduction in the cockpit without any compromise on the tire performance level. MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 places the emphasis on driving sensations and pure efficiency, and improves driving precision, dynamic response and of course, the level of pure grip.
An ambassador of choice: Sebastien Ogier, three-time and reigning WRC champion
On Michelin stand, three-time WRC reigning champ Sebastien Ogier delivered a sweet message to MICHELIN Motorsports team: “MICHELIN tires played a huge role in my quest for the 2015 WRC title."

Electric and hybrid Innovation
Lots of manufacturers backed hybrid and electric technology in 2015. To balance autonomy, safety and performance, many cutting-edge showcased models came equipped with Michelin tires.
Among them, the new electric concept sedan by Taiwan manufacturer Thunder Power and the Porsche Mission E, which drew rave reviews and promises a max autonomy of 500 km with a battery that can be charged up to 80 percent in 15 minutes. For its comeback, Artega picked Michelin tires for the premiere of its electric sport coupé Artega Scalo, which features an autonomy of 400 km.
