Capsule 17 : Michelin Shareholders Day Monday 2023 October 2nd Carmes – Cataroux - Ladoux Imprimer The six members of the Michelin's Shareholders' Committee and the team in charge of relation with individual and employee shareholders were pleased to invite ten individual and ten employee shareholders for a tour of the Clermont-Ferrand sites. The day started at the Carmes site, at the Group's headquarters. Our shareholders had the privilege of being welcomed by Mr. Yves Chapot, General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of the Michelin Group. This was an opportunity to discuss and answer questions about our strategy and ambitions. Then they visited Michelin's tropical glasshouse, "a getaway journey through the rubber tree story". A unique place in France, open to the public on a guided tour. La Serre - l'Aventure Michelin After this exotic experience, our shareholders visited the competition factory at the Cataroux plant organised by instructors from the Tire School. Equipped with safety shoes, chasubles, and hearing protection, they discovered the plant and its various units, such as "preparation", "checking" and "manufacturing". The tour then moved on to the Ladoux plant, Michelin's Research and Development center. The site employs over 3,300 people in 350 different professions. Ladoux is the birthplace of Michelin's major inventions, from the green tire to the Cross Climate and the Giant Civil tire. Ladoux is also where the world's major manufacturers, including some of the most prestigious, test their prototypes: Porsche, Bugatti, Ferrari, Bentley, Tesla, but also BMW, PSA, Renault, Hyundai or Kia, etc....
