The Shell Eco-marathon think-tank
The Shell Eco-marathon is a race that consists in covering the longest possible distance with a minimum of energy. Michelin develops special ultimate energy-efficient tires for the race. Students, school teachers and university faculty from the same continent develop, build and test unique, futuristic vehicles designed to use as little energy as possible to cover a set distance.
During the competition, students and teachers have the opportunity to share their experience and exchange ideas about the future of mobility. For this event, Michelin develops ultra-energy-efficient tires that are five times more energy efficient than the best tires available for standard passenger cars.
