Goodwood Festival of Speed: a legacy of passion
This year’s edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, held from June 26-29, hosted its first ever MICHELIN Supercar Run, in which the fastest sports cars raced against the clock.
A dream lineup
Since 1993, the annual Goodwood Festival, located in West Sussex (100 km from London), has become the center of the world for all those who love fast cars and remarkable performances.
The MICHELIN teams that organized the very first MICHELIN Supercar Run share this same passion for speed. Close to 40 of the fastest cars in the world were in competition: from the ALFA ROMEO 4C to the FERRARI 458 Speciale, as well as the BMW i8, the McLAREN P1, the PORSCHE 918 Spyder, and the all-new HONDA NSX hybrid.
Michelin celebrates racing
Michelin, an estate partner of the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, also had a stand with a very popular attraction: the MICHELIN Pilot Escort RS Cosworth, winner of the British Rally Championship in 1994. This is one more example of Michelin's ongoing commitment to racing.
