"Driving Experience": focus on performance
Driving Experience: testing performance
Citroën Racing organized three days of Driving Experience at the Auverdrive automobile test track in Issoire (63). The aim was to have French and international media (print press, internet, radio and TV) test-drive the different versions of the racing DS3. In practice, journalists try out various racing DS3 versions alongside champions such as Sébastien Loeb (nine times WRC world champion), Sébastien Chardonnet (WRC-3 class world champion in 2013), Mads Ostberg and Kris Meeke. At the same time, they discovered the range of WRC and motorsport tires for MICHELIN customers
MICHELIN rally tires: maximum agility on all terrains
The new releases for 2014 have been a great success, especially the MICHELIN LTX Force tires and the new MICHELIN Pilot Sport H4/S4 tires, unveiled in the lead-up to the Rallye de France. Equipped with these new tires, the DS3 will have no problem handling Auverdrive's gravel and asphalt tracks. The journalists experiencedfirst-hand the outstanding grip and traction provided by the MICHELIN LTX Force soft-compound gravel tires
Innovation and collaboration: a winning strategy for Michelin
With 45 world titles to its name, Michelin has won more WRC awards than any other tire manufacturer since 1973, a performance it owes to its ability to innovate and the close partnership it nurtures with automobile manufacturers such as Citroën. At its Technology Center, dedicated teams develop tire solutions that meet their requirements. The higher the stakes and the technical demands, the more enduring the partnership, as we can see by the two manufacturers' partnership for WRC rallies.
The close relationship between the two companies dates back to the time when Citroën belonged to the Michelin Group, from 1934 to 1976. A relationship sustained by a joint track record studded with success. The two partners are together responsible for the finest line-up of victories in FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) rallies: 5 manufacturer titles, 49 wins and 120 places.
