Toni Bou (Montesa Honda Michelin) claimed his sixth Indoor title!

Spaniard Tony Bou (Montesa Honda Michelin) didn’t wait the last round of the Indoor World Championship Trial, scheduled later this month in Paris Bercy, to claim his sixth consecutive world Indoor title. Winner in Milan, he enters in the records book of this sport with his eleventh world title !

Only twenty five years old, Tony Bou remains the boss in indoor trial as well as Outdoor and keeps the same motivation and determination. Already winner of the five previous rounds of the Indoor series (Strasbourg, Genève, Marseille, Madrid and Majorca) when he came to Milan, Toni knew that he had a chance to grab the title in Italy. But it was not an easy day for the Catalan, who crashed hard in the last zone and was tied in the points before the tiebreak zone; but Tony found the energy to win and got with his perfect series – six races and six wins – another title, his sixth one in indoor and eleventh overall. Reigning outdoor trial Champion, he will be the favorite of this series; but before moving to France for the first outdoor in six weeks, he will defend his title during the final indoor race in Paris on March 31st.

Toni Bou: "On one hand I'm delighted, as it's been a very special day that I'd been thinking about all week. This sixth title and six out of six possible victories are fantastic. On the other hand, I'd have liked to celebrate it in another manner. I had a very strange fall, hitting my back and head hard. I recovered from the dizziness and in the heat of the moment managed to win in the tie break zone, but I don't think I could do later. Hopefully the exams don’t reveal any fracture.
